No. We're a service fraternity. We're recognized by Auburn separately from the social IFC / Panhellenic system. Different mission, different rules, different vibe.
Yes. APhiO has been coed nationally since 1976. The Delta Chapter has men and women brothers. Anyone enrolled at Auburn is welcome to rush.
A fraction of what social Greek dues run. Active dues cover national membership, chapter operations, and the cost of running our service projects. Exact numbers come up during rush so you can ask in person.
Nope. APhiO was founded by Scouts and the values overlap, but Scouting background isn’t required. Plenty of our brothers came to APhiO through service in high school, church groups, or just wanting to find their people in college.
Pledgeship is the heaviest part — weekly meetings, service projects, getting to know the chapter — for about eight weeks. After initiation, time commitment scales with how involved you want to be. Minimum is a service-hours requirement each semester. Maximum is whatever you make of it.
Yes. APhiO is a service fraternity, separate from the social Greek system. Tons of our brothers are also in a social Greek org — the two organizations don’t conflict, and Auburn explicitly allows it.
No. We take rushees from any class year. We have brothers who joined as freshmen, transfers, juniors, and even seniors looking for community in their last year.
Show up to the next one. Rush is a series of events, not a single audition. Missing one or two is fine — just try to make a couple so we can get to know you.
We get your info and a member of the rush committee follows up with the current semester’s schedule and what to expect. No pressure, no spam — just info.
We’re an in-person chapter, so being on campus regularly is part of the picture. Best to reach out and let us know your schedule — we can figure it out together.
