IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ.

THERE WILL BE NO MERIT BADGE UNIVERSITY IN 2026.

After a great deal of consideration, Delta Chapter has reached the difficult decision that we are unable to continue to sponsor Merit Badge University at Auburn University at this time. We regret that we are not able to continue this project that has served thousands of scouts over the past thirty years, but changes in policies and circumstances beyond our control has made continuation of the project no longer feasible at this time. Delta Chapter remains committed to providing service to scouting in other ways.

All troops attending MBU are required to register using the online registration and payment options. We no longer accept mailed registrations. Please look over the Questions page before going any further. You will find out information concerning online registration.

By submitting any registration you verify that you and the listed registrant, be it not the same person, understand and accept the condition(s) listed below.

General Registration Disclaimer:
We, the event coordinators of Merit Badge University, do in no way guarantee the availability of any class taught at said event.  Any class may be cancelled at any time for whatever reason.  Some of these reasons might include, but are not limited to the following: unable to find qualified instructor, instructor cancellation, or minimum class size requirements not met.  If a class is cancelled the troop's contact will be notified and requested to update the participant registration(s).

Registration is based on a strictly first-come first-serve basis.  We, the event coordinators, will not accept registrations that are mailed. 

No refunds will be given to any troop after the registration deadline.  We, as the event coordinators, cannot be held responsible for participants that decide not to show up for said event.  Therefore, troops are responsible for replacing any participant that decides not to show up.  Scout substitutions may be made providing that the new scout is willing to take the same class as the previous scout should the new scout's choices already be full. Substitutions will be accepted through the first day of the event. NO substitutions will be made the morning following the first day of the event.

We hold the right to request that any participant leave the event at any time for failing to live up to the principles of the Scout Oath and Law of Scouting America.

Risk Management Disclosure: Please Read

In accordance with the Auburn University Minors on Campus Policy, Alpha Phi Omega, Delta Chapter will be providing the AU Office of Risk Management a list for each participating troop that contains the names and contact number for the responsible adult/scoutmaster and names of the participating scouts.
